Starting Over? A Simple Planning Ritual for Your Next Chapter
Nadège
Sometimes life changes you before you are ready.
A move. A breakup. A new job. A new baby. Or just waking up one day and realizing the version of you from last year doesn't fit anymore.
I know that feeling. And I know how heavy it can be when everything is in your head at the same time.
So I want to share a simple ritual that helps me every time I start a new chapter.
1. Write down everything
Take one page and write down everything you are carrying right now. The worries, the to do's, the ideas, the things you keep forgetting.
Don't organize it. Just let it out.
You will be surprised how much lighter you feel once it is on paper and not only in your head.
2. Circle 3 things
Now look at your page and circle only 3 things that really matter this month.
Not 10. Just 3.
Everything else can wait. You are allowed to go slowly.
3. Give each one a small next step
Big goals can feel scary. Small steps don't.
If your goal is to save money, your next step might be writing down what you spent this week. If your goal is to feel calmer, your next step might be 5 quiet minutes with your planner every morning.
4. Make it pretty
This might sound silly, but it really matters.
When your planner is something you love to look at, you open it more often. And when you open it more often, you keep your promises to yourself.
That's honestly why I created Nzitelli. I wanted pretty things that help women stay consistent, even on the hard days.
5. Start again when you need to
You will fall off sometimes. Everyone does.
That's not failure. That's life. Just open your planner and start again.
